It would be very helpful if we had the option to have all cross section drawings created in a single drawing model. While automation can do a lot, there are still annotations and elements that may need to be placed by hand on multiple cross sections.
Navigating between dozens, if not hundreds of drawing models is time consuming. In addition to that, tools do not persist between models. In a single drawing model, we can start the place note tool, place a note, pan to the next section, place that same note, pan to the next section, place the note...With separate drawing models, We need to open the model, start the place note tool, paste the text we (hopefully) copied from the last model), place the note, open the next model...it's just more time and more effort to accomplish the same task.
We add special identifying notes for driveways. On smaller projects, we add drainage structures by hand because of the effort required to develop fully fledged drainage models. There are other elements that may need to be added by hand as design progresses. Modeling and annotation is a 90% solution for us on many projects, but that last 10% turns into more work because OpenRoads lacks the options of the older software.
