I would like to see tools added to ORD that would mimic the Drainage Tools found in GEOPAK. Specifically, I would like to be able to visualize Drainage Patterns. I envision this be something that could be added to a Terrain Feature Definition, sim...
Add Generate Transverse Feature from InRoads to OpenRoads
This tool was incredibly useful in creating Finished Grade and subgrade terrains, allowing for quick creation of transverse features to control triangulation and slope transitions in intersections and grading. The fact that the lines could be made...
Currently there isn't a way to view contents of a terrain. This makes it very difficult to replace or remove data. There is a remove feature tool but you have to know which features are in a terrain to remove them. I am proposing an empty terrain ...
It would be useful to allow editing of contours after a terrain model is created. Call it "Contour Edit Mode" and allow users to massage contours in areas and preserve these edits similar to how ORD now remembers triangle edits in 10.12.
For modeling corners that is harder to do with templates, similar to Civil 3d, the ability to quickly manipulate elevation points and slopes on a 3d wireframe design would make designing curb ramps so much easier.
Terrain filters have the ability to use the Feature Definition, but a lot of the time we have elements that we do not want all elements of a feature definition to be captured by the terrain filter. Our current workaround is to have multiple versio...
When editing a Complex Terrain Model, clicking Apply closes the dialog box. The user often wants to make additional edits to the Terrain Model. Allow the dialog box to persist until the user closes it.
Allow for LP/HP for terrains to have both Point and Text shown at the same time
When zooming out, the points are shown. When zooming in, the points are hidden and the text is shown. I'd like for the point to always be shown and have the text be dynamic.

Future consideration
Similar to the new Station/Offset Expressions, it would be great to query a terrain in an item type on an element and return the elevation. It would be used primarily for point cells, but I could also see it being useful for linework.
