Parametric cells offer designers a huge degree of flexibility and create much more intelligent 3D assets to be used in projects. And Point Feature Definitions allow designers to place 3D cells in OpenRoads Designer using constraints to alignments and surfaces.
However, when a parametric cell is used as the Element Template for a Point Feature Definition, the designer has no access to adjust variables or switch variations of that parametric cell. Simply expose the parametric properties here and designers will rejoice with endless creativity and use cases!
Example: A parametric cell for an overhead sign structure on a highway project, that has settings to adjust for sign height, panel placement, foundation diameter and depth, span length. When loaded into a Point Feature Definition, the designer would be able to place the sign structure at a precise station/offset of an alignment, and constrain the foundations to surface of their choosing.
