Tool to Convert a Survey Linear to a Civil Geometry Complex Element or a MicroStation Linestring

There should be a one button command to convert a Survey Linear to a Civil Geometry Complex Element, a MicroStation Linestring, or individual MicroStation lines (User picks what they want). There are ways to accomplish this process now but most invlove a few steps to get the end geometry needed.

there should be a way to easily convert a survey feature to a linear civil geometry feature especially if you have a "one to one" relationship. E.g. you should be able to easily convert a Surveyed Paved Road Edge to Paved Road Edge Civil element to be used in your Designs without having to create it from scratch and sifting through the Feature Definitions to create it. Many times designers want to use existing features and there should be an easier tool to do this. E.g. using a CSV file in a Batch Process.

I agree. Sometimes all I need is a profile of a survey “chain”. I can easily do this in GEOPAK and it would be nice to do this as easily in ORD.

This is needed to create an element that can be used as a civil cell or geometry reference because Geometry nor Civil Cells recognize Survey Linears. Try creating a partial offset of a Survey L:inear -> You get an Element is not Valid for tool error message.

I'm curious why you would do this conversion, is it to develop best fit geometry?
