It appears that we need to 'nudge' or 'kick' element templates to find correct level and therefore symbology in 2024. It's not auto populating when we select an element template. We have a section line linestyle tied to a level tied to an element template. When we select the element template, the linestyle does not populate. But if we place it (on the wrong color, weight, linestyle), place a different line with different element template, then go back to the section line element template, it heals itself.
