OpenRail now looks like it is behind the 12D Model, after removing good design functions in BRT. In OpenRail, it is hard to have multiple alignment options. For example, you can copy a horizontal design, it will carry a profile, but not cant design. It is so hard to create multiple profile options for a horizontal design. I don't know how to have multiple cant options, or how to copy full cant options from an alignment to others. 12D model has updated and improved good functions in railway designs. I think OpenRail should update to retain good functions in BRT. The only thing in OpenRail I think it is better than BRT is in 3D objects. However, running 3d model in OpenRail is still quite slow compared to 12d Model.
