In eigenvalue analysis of repetitive structures—where identical sub-systems exist independently within a single model—the same frequencies and eigenmodes are often assigned repeatedly to each sub-system. This leads to an issue with the CQC (Complete Quadratic Combination) method: it incorrectly applies the same mode multiple times, once for each identical sub-system. As a result, the superposition overestimates the response by counting the same mode repeatedly.
