The point code and number should be included in the regression points so that it can be printed out and identified when you make a regression report. If you only see the stationing and offset from the geometry you cannot separate normal track points from points that must have offset close to 0. In a turnout, on a bridge or in a road crossing it can be important to move the track as little as possible and your customer might want to see a report of this.
