When a vertical profile is projected to a different alignment, annotations that are located as "In Vertical Components" do not display.

For example, we have a profile annotation.point slope text favorite that displays perfectly when annotated with a profile drawn into an alignment. When the profile is projected, all of the annotation shows up except for the slopes.
