I want to show in our corridor models the areas where we are using erosion control measures vs using general seeding. Currently, the only real way to make this distinction is to either create a new template that uses a different feature definition for grading, or create a terrain model by hand. I'm sure there's a way to make this happen using display rules and a trigger with a parametric constraint, but if I want this in our template library, it will make things more complicated than I think it's worth.

I wish there was a way to put in a station to station and be able to override the feature definition of a point or component in a template from those stations. This would allow me to have our grading set to one feature definition, which i can calculate seeding from, but clip it out and place a different feature definition showing and calculating the erosion control measures, and I wouldn't have to do any extra template modifying.
