Point Catchment Delineation as a Terrain Model Analysis tool

The Drainage Modeling workflow has a feature to automatically delineate catchment areas for inlets but is limited to actual drainage model files. Similar to the "Trace Slope" or "Pond Analysis" it would be helpful if a tool existed to select a point in a terrain model and use the same base algorithm to be shown the region flowing to that point.

This would save time for simple drainage evaluations when full SUDA modeling isn't desired/warranted - and help roadway designers consider drainage throughout their workflow without fulling diving into the drainage modeling.

Does this tool meet your needs? This will delineate all catchments on a terrain but it can be process intensive. If you don't want all catchments delineated, click the "Display All Catchments" and it will only draw the one your cursor is in. https://docs.bentley.com/LiveContent/web/OpenRoads%20Designer%20Help-v19/en/analyzecatchment.html

It's unlikely that an area can be annotated as flowing towards a point unless that point is situated at a depression. A random point on a terrain may not be in a depression, but it will certainly have a gradient, either ascending or descending. To delineate a closed drainage area, at least two reference points on the terrain are required.
